Deep longing
For change, for liberation, for peace
You know, the world could be a better place
If only they would
If only you would
Or Not
Despair, smoothed by ambition and hope
Why don’t they understand?
Why don’t they
Why do they
Why
Deeply carved into your mind
There is a solution
You know the solution
If only they’d wake up
If only I’d wake up
If only
While life breathes
in and out
Innocently
Effortlessly
Seamlessly
Growth and decay
In all its appearances and narratives
Dense and vast
Confining and releasing
Balance transcending justice
Incomprehensible to the mind
Oscillating between its fabricated structures
Right and wrong
Fleeting glimpses of interconnectedness
But it cannot grasp
Wandering through the fragments of its made-up worlds
Real and artificial
And life?
It doesn’t care
It just vibrates as it all
Transcendent and immanent
Can the mind ever understand this?
Can it ever escape the multidimensional world it creates?
Can mind ever be free of itself?
Can you be free?
Here, there is no time
No space
Emptiness is home
Yet, you live in an imaginary prison
Boundaries are made up, functions for survival
The bricks of your prison walls are name, identity, affiliation,
the story of your ancestors, tribe, culture, belief
Where is the separation line between you and the other?
Is it skin, is it idea?
Was it born when your mother looked with amazement at you,
and said: I love you, my child?
