You look into her eyes and try, try to read anything. Anything you could understand. Her eyes are deep like the dark night, but there is a raging fire in their black abyss. You can barely see it, as it is almost entirely absorbed by the darkness. Unknown depths swallowing what has been seen, what has been built, created, grown and lived on impermanent grounds. History is turning into oblivion, diving into decay. Darkness is taking it home.
You see the fires reaching out of her eyes, her gaze one with the destruction of what has expired. Rotten substance that still is trying to hold together what has already surrendered to transience. It willingly catches the fire, allows it to burn itself deeply into its very structures, like a virus altering the DNA, implementing the program of annihilating the host who has fought all his battles, and now has to encounter his ultimate surrender.
As fierce as it appears, it’s just a brief spark in the void, deep, vast and dark. You can see it in her eyes. They have seen the rise and fall of entire civilizations, solar systems, galaxies. Nothing is unfamiliar to them, nothing new. Everything is known, everything is forgotten, just to be explored and revealed again. You see the lust and indifference in her eyes, bringing all form down onto its knees, shattering it, crumbling it into its smallest particles. You are intrigued by the joy and equanimity of how she then unifies what was utterly fragmented, into emerging interconnectedness, interdependence, birthing highly complex structures, multidimensional.
And amidst it all – you – terrified and mesmerized at once by this raw, yet sophisticated force. How you merge with what you have considered to be separate from yourself, what you perceived as happening to you. Now you realize – you are the beginning, you are the end. You are birth, you are death. You are memory, you are oblivion. You are the rise and the fall. Form, arising from the unknown, light, being absorbed by the void.
